WELCOME TO:

Little Sparrows of Hope Grieving with Grace,
whether you are navigating grief, living with stress and anxiety,
or facing depression, this space offers support and tools to help you heal.

A gentle space to transform loss into hope — with heartfelt tools, tender artwork,
and compassionate support for your healing journey through grief using EFT (Emotional Freedom Techniques - known as tapping meridians)

Why Little Sparrows of Hope?

Sparrows have a powerful symbolism as they ae seen as symbols of hope, resilience and the ability to find joy in simple moments, even after hardship - huge grief & losses. Their small size carries a message: you don't have to be loud or big to make an impact; they also represent love, community and comfort.

And, Grieving With Grace - that's the name of my book!

I'm Joanne Sparrow, and I help individuals navigate their journey through grief and loss by providing compassionate support and transformative techniques to foster healing and hope.

A NOTE FROM JOANNE

I’m not perfect. I’m still grieving. And yes — I absolutely
have my moments (like booking a cinema in the wrong city… twice ... letting air out of my tyre instead of pumping it up not noticing the yellow plaque saying it was out of order (it was upside down!). And oh, those triggers out of the blue that take you to another place .....

This space isn’t about fixing grief. It’s about being with it — gently, honestly, and sometimes with a sense of humour. I hope you find something here that lifts your heart — or at least makes
you feel less alone. You’re welcome

here, just as you are.

Melodies of Memories

Music often becomes the soundtrack to our lives, evoking cherished memories and emotions. The "Lady in Red" artwork holds a special place in my heart, reminding me of my husband's loving serenade on our wedding day. While this song may not have been my favourite, it symbolises a cherished moment of joy and connection. Explore this collection of song-inspired art, perfect as meaningful gifts or personal keepsakes, each piece capturing the essence of love and remembrance ,the lasting change with personalised guidance, actionable insights, and unwavering support.

The Journey Through Grief

This poignant artwork series captures the profound emptiness and gradual healing experienced during grief. Starting in somber shades of grey, black, and white, the image of a person with a hollowed heart reflects the initial void of loss. As the series progresses, warmer colors emerge, symbolizing hope and renewal, with the heart transforming and blooming with life. These pieces resonate deeply with those who have endured loss, offering solace and understanding. Perfect for printing or sharing with loved ones, they serve as a gentle reminder that healing is a journey, and brighter days lie ahead.

FAQS

[How many sessions will I need?]

Grief and loss impacts us all differently and uniquely, so there's no one-size-fits all answer. Some people feel a shift after just one or two sessions, while others need longer-term support.

I recommend starting with a 6-week package - for which you pay for 5 getting 1 free - and review your journey to see if you feel you could benefit from more sessions. This gives us time to explore your experiences in depth, work through specific aspects step by step, and build lasting coping tools. Many client find that committing to this timeframe creates the safety, continuity, and momentum needed for real change.

[What if it doesn't work for me?]

That's a very natural worry. Everyone's esperience with EFT is unique, and result can vary. Some people feel lighter or calmer right away, while for others it takes a few sessions to notice shifts.

What I can promise is that you'll always have a safe, supportive space to explore your feelings at your own pace. Even if big changes don't happen immediately, many clients find they gain useful tools they can use any time - helping them feel calmer, more resilient and more in control.

The best way to find out is to try. That's why I offer a free 30 minute introductory chat, so you can see how it feels before committing to further sessions.

Since I first starting tapping in 2003 (read my story about my first experience) but Gary Craig created EFT in the 1980's - it has been scientifically proven to work (Dawson Church - EFT Universe) which I will add to this website.

[Can I see Joanne in person, or do I have to book a session via zoom?]

I offer both options, depending on what feels most comfortable for you but also where you live.

In person: if you're local, we can arrange face-to-face sessions in a private, supportive setting. I live in Lancashire.

Online (via zoom): many clients prefer the flexibility of working from home. EFT works just as affectively online as it does in peron, and it means you can join from anywhere.

Some people choose a mix - starting with Zoom, then meeting in person later, or vice versa. The most important thing is that you feel safe, comfortable and supported.

[What happens in the introductory chat and is 30 minutes long enough?]

Yes, this is a gentle conversation to get to know each other, if it takes 15 minutes more no worries. I just want enough time for us to:

Meet each other and see if we feel like a good fit.

Talk about what has brought you here.

Explain how I work and what you can expect.

Offer you a few ideas or suggestions you can take away right away.

It's not a fully therapy session, but it gives you the chance to share your story without pressure and to ask any questions you may have.

Many people find that simply taking this first step already helps them to feel lighter and more hopeful. If you'd like to go deeper that's where the 6 week package or individual sessions come in.

Email me, let me know your availability and what time zone you are in. Once I've checked my diary I will give you a few options to choose from.

[Do you only work with bereavement?]

No. While grief and loss are at the heart of my work, EFT is a gentle technique that can support a wide range of emotional and even physical challenges.

Some of the areas people often bring to sessions include:

Bereavement and loss (of a loved one, relationship, job, health, home or identity).

Stress, anxiety and overwhelm.

Fears and phobias.

Physical discomforts (such as headaches, tension or pain) - always alongside appropriate medical care.

Self-esteem, confidence, and personal growth.

EFT works best when we get very specific about your own experience. It's not a "one size fits all" method - it's tailed to you. Many clients are surprised that when we begin working on one area (sue as grief), that other aspects of their life start to feel lighter too.

I personally got into tapping 3 years after my 5 year old daughter died - I was so angry and the scale of 0-10 didn't work for me I was 25! Simply reading the book and following the instructions, not really knowing what I was doing, I tapped it down to 4. It felt fantastic. But being a newbie I hadn't got to the root cause and so the anger returned and I sought professional help - contacted the author of the book. I was blown away by uncovering a thought I'd had about the medical profession (they'd made mistakes with my daughter). Hence I decided to become a Practitioner myself. I've since used it on a tooth abscess and a chipped bone in my arm - numerous things since 2003 such as the confidence to write articles for a local newspaper, to contact an estranged family member. I am very passionate about tapping, knowing how it transformed my life.
